Ken Schmidt

Ken Schmidt (1946-2023) was an artist who earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the New York Institute of Technology Fine Arts Division. While teaching art in upstate New York, Ken decided to become a full time artist and developed a unique style portraying the Native American, mountain man, and cowboy. He mainly worked in watercolor and pencil, depicting scenes or portraits from photographs he took during his travels across America. Ken’s artwork has been collected throughout the United States and internationally and has been featured on the covers of several western magazines.

Ken will always be remembered for his authenticity and the relationships he developed with those he photographed and those who collected his artwork.
