Kelly Minor is an award-winning nature, wildlife, and landscape photographer based in Cave Creek, Arizona. Originally from South Jersey, she fell in love with the landscapes of the western United States and feels most at home in the mountains. She stumbled into photography after a trip to one of the most beautiful places in North America, Grand Teton National Park. The beauty of Wyoming and the Northwest opened a whole new world for her and inspired her to learn how to shoot with a professional camera. Her goal as a photographer is to tell a story through her work that people can relate to and be inspired by. She strives to create impactful images that evoke emotional or spiritual responses that can conjure up fond memories of places her viewers may have visited. Through her camera’s lens, she expresses a profound reverence for the landscapes she’s intimately experienced, explored, and photographed. Each exposure is but a brief, fleeting moment made still in time that can never be exactly duplicated.
In 2024 Kelly’s work was awarded the Bronze level medal for the “Best of Jackson Hole” competition. Her connection to Grand Teton finds her visiting the area several times a year and she hopes to soon photograph more landscapes and wildlife out West. Kelly is also a letterpress printer in which she designs high end paper products and prints them on her vintage 1907 letterpress machine in her home studio. Retail shops in Jackson, Wyoming and Cave Creek, Arizona carry her greeting cards for purchase. Kelly is an avid equestrian and has been riding horses for over 30 years. In her spare time, she competes with her buckskin Lusitano horse Indy in Dressage and enjoys spending time with her husband, Ryan, and their adorable beagle, Lucy.
